On 27th of February, 2024, The Chief Whip of the Ekiti Youth Parliament, Hon. Charles Adewale Awolola successfully conducted a comprehensive literacy training program for the Secondary School students in Ilejemeje. The event which is aimed at equipping students with essential knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of academics effectively.

The training session, conducted by the convener, Hon. Charles Awolola, covered a wide range of topics including academic pursuits, causes and consequences of truncation, investing in rich culture of education, and risk management.



Through engaging presentations and interactive discussions, participants gained valuable insights into the importance of literacy and its practical applications in their daily lives.


One of the highlights of the program was organising a JAMB CBT training for all the student who will be writing JAMB, More so, other participants won other prizes which are yet to be redeemed. These prizes serve as tokens of appreciation for the enthusiastic engagement and commitment demonstrated by participants.


In the spirit of gratitude and appreciation, we expressed our heartfelt thanks to Hon. Pius Alaba, the executive chairman of Ilejemeje LG and Hon Bode Folorunsho, commisioner for Local Government affairs for their understanding, support, and utmost cooperation in ensuring the success of this significant program. This opportunity given by the AEO, principal and members of staffs in the secondary schools in Ilejemeje did not only served the purpose of outreach but also became a platform to promote awareness within these students, its mission, and its ongoing progress.


Overall, the program was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on all participants.
